I was thinking about you and wondering what you need help with the most in your life and biz so I can create things that rock for YOU! Message me and let me know!
For today – here are some tips EVERYONE needs – I know they are helpful for me!
Make a list.
Before you go to bed, make a list of the things you need to get done the next day. I personally like to keep a notebook specifically for that so I can look back at what I accomplished and see what still needs to be done. Here is the deal about a list. Write it down, release it from your brain so you can sleep well, in the morning do the thing you don’t want to do the most FIRST, and at the end of the day if you didn’t get it all crossed off, don’t beat yourself up about it, just add that thing to your list again at night and start a fresh day the next morning!
Break Big Tasks into Smaller Ones.
This one is soooo helpful. I think when we have a big idea sometimes we can get overwhelmed about it all, but if you break it down into smaller pieces you can accomplish a little at a time and it feels SO GOOD (like for real) to cross things off your to-do list.
Here is an example:
Make a quilt. (too big of a picture)
Yikes where to start.
Here is a better task list:
1. Pick a pretty quilt pattern.
2. Sort through how much fabric to get.
3. Go to fabric store and browse around pretty fabrics.
4. Make final fabric decision.
SO MUCH BETTER FOR MY BRAIN.
EEEK. Hard one I know. But I’ve found when I set my focus to the ONE THING I need to get accomplished in the moment, without distractions, it all flows together easier and I accomplish more. So I get things done in power chunks. (I’m actually going to talk more about this later to dive a little deeper into how to do this well) Whether I am going to spend 5 minutes or 20 minutes on a certain thing I determine it beforehand to help me stay on track.
Have a great day y’all! Don’t forget to message me and let me know what you need help with the most in your life and biz so I can create things that rock for YOU! Make sure to get on the newsletter too to get a ton of info!
