A little over 13 years ago I had 2 failed marriages, was recovering from an alcohol and cocaine addiction, had been working in the sex industry for 13 years and had recently moved back to Kentucky from Mexico City – where I had lived for 8 years – to find myself and heal from the things I had done and from the things that had been done to me. After much convincing from my best friend – I walked into a small church and expected to be judged but I was only met with love. 13 years ago today on April 27, 2003 – after listening to a song that spoke directly to my heart – I found Jesus and gave my life to Him. I realized that no one has ever gone too far for the love and acceptance of Jesus.
Since then, I worked hard to get out of a 13 year career in adult entertainment. I launched a non profit to support women who are in the sex industry and we recently expanded to serving all women. Currently we operate in 10 cities and are expanding this year to many more.
I met and married my amazing husband and have gotten to be a part of thousands of lives changed. I survived Breast Cancer. We launched a church plant in South Beach. I’ve led worship in some amazing places. I started a knitting company honoring my grandmother. I am working on music and writing and I am fulfilling my calling to help people overcome their obstacles. A part of my life I love is helping people overcome their health and financial obstacles by being a Beachbody Coach. I am seeing people change emotionally, spiritually, financially and getting healthy!
I am far from perfect, but I am having a blast in this crazy life and I love my family, friends and people deeply and have the capacity to do so.
I have peace in my heart that only Jesus can provide.
Life is beautiful. Love is even more beautiful. Thankful for this day 13 years ago and I am looking forward to the future!
