Good Friday.
The cross. The sacrifice.
I remember the first worship song I sang after giving my life to Jesus in 2003. I was just 5 days old as a new Christian. Music was one thing that spoke to me but thinking about doing something in church scared me to death! Here I was, an ex stripper, ex sex and drug addict and recovering alcoholic with two divorces behind me and I wanted to sing for God. I thought I must be out of my MIND!

So I took a leap of faith that was so risky for me and tried out to be on the worship team.
The only Christian song I kind of knew besides Jesus Loves Me was Amazing Love.
I stood on the stage, with a little black stand in front of me, the white page of the sheet music before me and started to sing.
I cried the whole way through.
I’m not sure I even sang a correct note. But the Holy Spirit’s presence was thick and that began my days of leading worship.
Here are the lyrics I battled to maintain composure through: “I’m forgiven because you were forsaken
I’m accepted, You were condemned
I’m alive and well
Your spirit is within me
Because you died and rose again

Amazing love, how can it be?
That you, my king. would die for me
Amazing love, I know it’s true
Its my joy to honor you.” On Good Friday – I thought it would be fitting to share the lyrics.
My life by no means is perfect. I am not perfect. But I do love Jesus and am so thankful for His sacrifice.

It’s time to sing a new song.

So in love with Him and SO EXCITED about what is on the horizon.

When all seems lost – there is STILL HOPE.
