Sandra! Where are the pics of your workouts??? As a coach sometimes an injury can get in the way of progress.
2 weeks ago – right before our move I was planking and got injured.
You see, I am a cancer survivor and have had a double mastectomy and reconstruction. After having a breast implant, your body will create a capsule of fibrous scar tissue around the implant as part of the healing process. This is a natural reaction that occurs when any foreign object is surgically implanted into the body.
So I had overworked my chest from packing, then pushed myself to hold a plank longer and the scar tissue ripped.
Let me tell you it hurt! But the body is an amazing thing. I talked to my doc and I just needed to take a break and not strain my chest, not let it have too much movement – even to sleeping with a sports bra on -and the scar tissue repairs itself. I have another week until it fully heals and in the meantime – no workouts. Thankfully, I am not gaining weight- my nutrition is on point and Shakeology helps that- but I am ready to get back to working out!
It also got me thinking.
There are a lot of women who have to modify their workouts from injuries, knee problems, postpartum issues or just general medical problems – so I am coming up with a plan for YOU!
Next month- I am creating a playlist of modified workouts from our company that you can do and get RESULTS.
I personally have knee problems, chest problems, hypothyroidism, back issues and still have success so let’s do this together!
