Y’all! I have been sick all week! BUT! I know it could have been worse… I am feeling myself again finally. One thing I did that helped was make a tea from a recipe I tweaked from a herbalist course I am taking. The base is a homemade Chai tea with some extras. If you are feeling sick – whip this up! If you just want Chai Tea make the recipe down to honey. If you want to cure a cold add the extras. It doesn’t taste the best with the extras… But is super curative.
2 cups water
2 thin slices ginger root
2 cardamom pods
½ stick cinnamon
1 bag black tea
honey to taste .
Extras to add if you are feeling a cold:
a dash of Cayenne
a garlic clove
In a cooker add the water, ginger, pods, cinnamon, peppercorns and cloves. If sick add in Cayenne and garlic. Bring to a boil then simmer for 7 mins.
Put tea bag and honey in a cup. .
Use a tea strainer and pour the concoction over the tea bag and honey. .
Let sit 4 minutes then take out the tea strainer and tea bag. .
