What is on your mind as you wake up this morning?
Is it – “I have got to get up and go through this ^&(&^^^ of a day. %^&(&”
Or is it – “I cannot wait to put in the work it takes to achieve my dreams!”
If you have a dream placed in your heart – do the work necessary to achieve it and BELIEVE it can be your reality!
For me – when I hit a low point of depression last year – I did struggle to even think it was possible to dream. I had not given myself the permission to think larger thoughts and imagine what life I actually wanted. I thought nothing would change – I would be forever stuck in the “I guess this is as good as it gets”
And don’t get me wrong – my life was awesome at that time! I had a life most people dream about.
But my dreams needed to be bigger to live my life to the fullest.
So I gave myself permission to dream again without people telling me what I should or shouldn’t dream about.
And you know what? It takes hard work to accomplish those dreams – but now every morning I can get up excited about the here and now – and the future.
If you have forgotten how to dream – take some time in your day – whether that means waking up earlier or going to bed later and meditate on it. Think about it. Pray through it. Clear your mind and then let it soar and after you envision it – write it down. Keep those dreams at the front of your mind. Then put in the work to achieve it.
